Favorite Pistol Shrimp Goby combo??

Hey All been looking at Shrimp Goby combos and just wanted to get everyone's experiences with them good bad etc... Price is not an issue but would love to find locally if possible. I see some beautiful gobies just not sure which one to pick. I lost half my fish recent from an Ich outbreak and am really taking time to plan my next purchases thoroughly before jumping in.

75 gallon tank 2 inches of sand but about to add more plus some crushed shells.
2 Skunk Shrimp
Emerald Crab
Large Feather Duster
Electric Scallop (FS/FT if anyone is interested before my CBB finds him)
2 Black Ocellaris Clowns
2 Blue/Green Chromis
Melanurus Wrasse
Copper Banded Butterfly
Lawnmower Blenny
Midas Blenny
Mandarin Goby

Please let me know if you foresee any challenges with the above as well.

I bought two pairs and have a good 2-3" sand bed and they stirred up my sand bed since day one. They seem to have calmed down but still seem to move sand around still. I don't think I have a spot under my rock that the sand has not been moved. Glad I got them.

Nice which gobies did you go with?

I know one is a Yasha goby with a pistol shrimp and the other not sure, forgot what it's called but that one has a pistol about two to three inches long and he reminded me of a tiny bulldozer moving the sand around with his claws. Got them from Prugs, maybe he can chim in and remind me on the other goby. Bottem line is they keep my sand moving and I needed that, do have some cloudy days but not too bad after it settles down.

I've only kept a tiger pistol but with a yellow watchman, a pinkspot and a blackfin goby. Of all the pinkspot was my favorite.

i have a yellow watchman and a tiger pistol.

I love the tiger pistol shrimps the most for some reason. I can't get myself to get randalls or anything else whenever I had the option. Probably cause the tigers get much larger than the rest. Also there is blue spot watchman goby that is pretty awesome looking

Yeah reef culture has some blue spots coming out of qt this week I'm gonna stop by this weekend to check them out. Just not sure if that is what I want. I really like the orange spot, pink spot, and orange stripe gobies. I will have to look at the tiger pistols too.

I agree that tigers are nice looking. From what I've read they have a better temperament too, but I can't say from experience if that's true.

I used to have a coral banded pistol shrimp and a yellow watchman goby paired. I like them but I have to mention that for some reason the yellow watchman goby turned into some gray color.

Yeah I have heard the blue spots turn grey when they mature. I just put in a request at reef culture for a Randall's shrimp goby. They said it should be 3 weeks or so after qt. I will post some pics when I get him in the tank.

I have a Blue Dot Watchman that has been in my tank for almost 1 1/2 years that just recently paired up with my Japanese Pistol Shrimp that has been in the tank for 4 years! I changed out the substrate which caused the Watchman to relocate, and now they're a team. How cool is that?!

I have a Randall's shrimp paired up with a yasha goby. I picked these two because i had them in my biocube and stayed fairly small. After a year i've moved them to my display tank and haven't really seen them much. Just hear the clicking at night.

I saw my tiger pistol and goby last night from below my tank... it was pretty cool than the pistol covered the glass back up and went to bed :rollface:
