I would say here on RC

are the majority of people traders? or can you just buy frags straight from members?

sr71 is correct.... tank proped is better then wild collected.

check the selling forums or better yet local forums.

if you are going to buy online make sure you at least get to see the exact peice your buying as in WYSIWYG. Also inquire if it has been checked for parasites/quarantined/ etc.....

if I had to buy online again I'd recomend www.fragglereef.com or www.reefermadness.us or www.aquadesignz.com or www.thelogicalreef.com

had great experiences with all the above vendors.....

cool, thanks for the list.

yeah, i agree completely, wild caught just seems a little, not necessarily risky, but morally, seems a bit wrong. there's so much propagation in the hobby today, it seems fruitless to destory more of the earths delicate reefs.

that's what im looking for, like a huge website that sells rare/good frags. i thought i found a really good one a while ago, with pics of every actual item y ou bought, but i forgot to bookmark it

:(

Sellers that don't sell wild colonies would not stay in business long. These corals don't grow nearly as fast enough to keep up with demand.

So most "frags" are from the LFS taking a huge colony and chopping it up.

If you just want to stick with aquacultured zoas, then buy here on the selling forum.

Cheers!:)

FYI, for excellent zoas.

Coral Fanatics

They're getting a new shipment tomorrow.;)

I would say the majority have traded at some point, and a good bit of us sell from time to time. If you see something you like, pm the person and ask about buying something. The worst outcome is they say no, the best is you get some good zoas for good price. you can also browse the feedback forums for positive feedback, and pick your seller that way.

I'd recommend http://www.marineflora.com/ for the excellent variety of colors they have even in their frag packs.

I agree- and Sam doesn't charge per polyp; his prices are very reasonable, and the customer service is the best I've ever seen. Like dealing with another hobbyist.
