Feather Duster???? Growing on Snail Shell

Can anyone confirm if this is a feather duster or tube worm? We're pretty new to reef keeping (a year or so in the hobby) and I noticed this the other day. This is a dead snail shell we just left in the tank but there's this "feather like" thing I seen on it that disappears VERY quickly as soon as I shine my phone light on it.

Top photo is it immediately after hiding away and bottom photo is when the "feathers" come back out.

Should we get rid of it? Or is it ok?

Here's a photo out of the water, obviously the "feather" portion has retracted...

Barnacles and feather dusters' extensions look a bit different.

Most barnacles have a 2d "fan" like extension/feeding apparatus, whereas feather dusters are more "flowers" as in they form a little ring of feathers
