I just came back from a trip to the Caymans. While diving we saw bright yellow feather dusters with black edges. They were relatively small...maybe 1" when open.
I've never seen them before in the wild or captivity. I don't have a pic, but does anyone the species?
The species is Notaulax occidentalis. Probably the only way to get them is to buy live rock containing some. They burrow into dead coral or rock and the tubes extend for several inches through the rock.
