Feather Duster Question ?... Anyone ?

the tips of the father duster feathers are turning White... the normal color is purple and red and from some reason over the past few weeks the fathers are slowly turning white

Ive had it for about 6 months and it was fine ... it is dieing ?

what's the lighting in the tank, to high and intens light may cause bleaching.

Feather dusters can't consume Cyclop-Eeze. What sort of phytoplankton is being fed, how much, and how often.

Jonathan, can feather dusters consume Marine Snow by Two Little Fishes? It is described as Plankton. How often should these creatures be fed?

You could try the target method of feeding to see if it helps. Take a plastic cup that is big enough to place over the Feather Duster, cut a small hole in the cup so the Phytoplankton can go in, place the cup over the Feather duster and feed wait a little while and see if this helps. Just my 2¢.

I'm not sure what's in Marine Snow, but it's so dilute I don't think it's worth buying.

A 60gal would take 3 capfuls of Marine snow a day. I wouldn't say its diluted. I've been using it for a while now. What's best Bertoni?

I spot feed my feather duster DT's phytoplanktin 3 times a week. He seems happy with that.

There's an online analysis of Marine Snow that shows its actual food content, which is pretty minimal.

I feed DT's usually, but Phyto-Feast and BioPlankton are also good products.
