Feather Duster + Yelllow Tang

I have a Hawaiian feather duster and a newish (3 weeks) yellow tang. First, the tang ate ALL of my green algae. Then with the addition of this tang the brown algae is starting to return. Now it is pecking on the duster's tube. I rarely see the feathers out because it keeps hiding when the tang pecks at it. I'm at the point where I want to get rid of the tang.

Is the tang's behavior acceptable?

Should I feed more often (because this tang EATS all the time)?

I'm really concerned about the duster and love it's presence.

Thanks!

I have a Hawaiin also, my yellow & sailfin both go after his tube.
I just moved him back into the rocks so only his crown sticks out.

Just watch the tang, a 55 is a little small for them.
Mine are in a 125 and are starting to outgrow that!

Yellow tangs can be bandits. My tang keeps nipping in the antenna of my cleaner shrimps so they only have half size antenna :(

I'm not sure extra feeding will solve your problem...I would find another home for the feather duster or the yellow tang if the tang doesn't stop.

YTs are grazers. Definitely feed more or use NORI , clip it to take attention away from tank. Or you must age ur tank more for it.
