Feather duster??

I got two pieces of rock yesterday that have been living in a sump for couple of years. I seem to have inherited a hitch hiker. Is this a feather duster? It is not out all of the time. If It is I'm assuming it doesn't need any special food or stuff as it's lived in a sump.

Yes it is and they are useful filter feeders.

IMHO you shouldn't need to do anything special as long as you are feeding some small size foods particles, like a Reef Nutrition liquid or a coral food.

I have a lot of these small white feather dusters in both my DT's. They grow in the sand and on the rocks. Mine tend to go for lower light areas, even growing under the rock in total shade. BTW, my rocks are raised up off the sand and sit on egg crate platforms with PVC pipe legs. I can see lots of these feather dusters and sponges growing on the rock bottoms.
