Feather Duster

I ordered a shipment from LiveAquaria the other day. Everything was set to arrive on Wednesday but the shipment got delayed and didn't come until Thursday. I live in Minnesota so it was cold and everything in the pack was barely alive. I managed to acclimate everything and only lost 2 trochus snails and a skunk cleaner shrimp:uhoh2:, but the dwarf feather duster came out of his tube. We acclimated him and he moves around but his "feathers" aren't open. Will he grow a new tube, or is he going to die? Also, if anyone would like to leave a few feather duster care tips, that would be awesome. Ps- I learned not to order live animals online in snowy Minnesota in December :headwally:

sorry about the loss. the snow is bad here too...how's your duster doing now?
i've got a few notes.
featherdusters like a dose of 'dirty' water once in while.... use a baster to blast detritus around your tank.if you have no dirty tank water, make some. make sure it smells like the sea and not eggs. don't worry about adding waste to your tank at feeding.if you have fresh live phyto, (green water), they like that too.
if it has no tube, put it in a safe spot. if it is a sabellid, put it near some deep sand. sabellids, ime, like to stick out of the sand bed. a small cluster of them look really cool. if there are pistols nearby, be careful, the pistol shrimp will nip at your worm from underneath. it took me a while to figure out what was killing mine.
watch out for fish that will nip at them... you should get a few years out of them if you treat them good.
