Feather dusters good or bad?

was thinking of putting one in my tank....any suggestions?....thxs all

It depends on what else you have or plan to put in your tank. The featherduster is harmless, but some fish, shrimp and crabs will see it as lunch, so you may want to research that first.
 
I agree. The small species will multiply and thrive in many aquariums. Or you could set up a system specifically for filter feeders, and then you have a better shot at the larger feather dusters and coco worms.
 
I have a decent size feather duster, and plenty of smaller ones that hitch hiked...crabs leave it alone as far as I can tell it seems happy and healthy.
 
I've had some small, 3 medium and a large in my 12g tank for about 6 months. I dose dt's phytoplankton 1-2x a week and they seem to be doing well. I wouldnt keep them with agressive crabs. I use scarlets and blue leg and they seem to live in harmony. I also have peppermint, sexy dancer, and pederson shrimp and they're all fine together. A coco worm might be a better choice if you have a more agressive reef because the tube is calciferous.
