Feather dusters

My feather duster has dissapeared again. It is still in its tube but the tube has sunk into the sand. It did this once before about a week ago, but came back up a few inches away. Can anyone help me with this problem. Also, It is either a blue dwarf feather duster or a horseshoe worm.
