Just having fun
The Feb meeting is the 18th at The house of Tim Plow weather permitting. More details to come in the next day or 2

Hello all,

We look forward to having everyone over for the OMAS meeting this month. We have recently moved to Catoosa, and I just got my two tanks up and running these past few weeks. I've had a little diatom and hair algae outbreak with setting up the new tanks, but hopefully they will be looking in decent shape by meeting time.

What does everyone want to do for a food theme?

Also, do we have a meeting topic? Any ideas or discussion points?

Why don't we discuss what going into setting up new tanks? We can also go threw the process that are needed in order to transfer live stock from one tank to the other. We could also just discuss your new tanks and how you set them up.How about what does into the transition from having a large reef tank and moving into a smaller reef.As far as food goes I think if everyone just brings what is easy for them to make we will eat it.

Yeah I meant the 19. Jj that topic sounds great to me. Setting up a new tank and transitioning from one system to another and closing down an existing tank

Sorry you're not going to be able to make it. Hopefully, we'll catch ya next time.

Well, the February meeting is this Saturday at 6:30. I look forward to having everyone over to see the new tanks. My corals aren't looking that great right now between the new lighting and move, but hopefully they begin to color up better as time progresses.

We can have an all around discussion on dos and don'ts in moving tanks/livestock, best ways to mount coral, etc... I would love to have a roundtable and hear everybodies thoughts on these topics.

As far as food, it looks like it is going to be a fairly nice day so I was thinking about grilling some hot dogs. Feel free to bring whatever you would like.

It would be beneficial if I could get some idea of how many people plan on coming so I can have enough chairs, hot dogs and such...so if you think you are going to be able make it, please reply so I'll have some idea. Have a good rest of the week.

Here's a sneak peek of the tanks.

Jena,Lilly and I (Scott.T) will be there for sure.We have some extra chairs that we can bring if needed? If so just let us know so we can bring them.
As Tim has said it really helps the hosts of the meeting and the officers and the other members to have a idea of how many people are planning on coming to the meeting so they/we know how many chairs, food, drinks and raffle items are needed!

As usual thanks for supporting omas and the reef hobby ! Scott T

Me and zac will be there and on time for once! lol. We're doing our valentines dinner before we come since i worked on v day so we won't be eating.
