Hi y'all,

How about a joint meeting with CARC in February at Sarris Underwater in Birmingham?

We have had an open invitation from Sarris for quite some time. I understand that they are willing to host both CARC and NARC together in February. They have a nice store not too far from the Galleria Mall.

They will let us know shortly what day is most convenient for them. I would like to get a head count so that I can tell Sarris and CARC how many are coming from NARC. Please let me know here if you are willing to come join the fun.

Tomoko, I'm still waiting on Chris Sarris to let me know what dates are good for them.
I'm assuming a Saturday is best for most everyone.
They usually prefer to host a meeting later in the afternoon as the store is less crowded.
Are there any dates that don't work for anyone who plans on attending?

Hi,

Sarris has proposed 16th. They seem to start somewhat late in the day like 4:00 pm. I recommended 3:00 pm as a compromise since NARC members have to travel 1-1/2 to 2 hours one way. Does this work for most of you guys?

My wife and I and another couple are interested in attending. We would be traveling from Dothan, Alabama. What is the proposed agenda for this event? -Kyle

We will start at 3:00 pm on 16th. I don't know if CARC has anything specific on agenda.

If you want to trade frags, you can post a request for what you are looking for or post some pictures of what you have for trade and see if there is any interest.

The regional frag swaps are big events and they are really nice. The next one will be in Knoxville/Chattanooga area in June. Our local ones are usually very small - just 2 -3 people trading frags. The last one we had at CRA was not bad with 7 - 8 people swapping frags, used equipment and macro algae.

You don’t have to have a cradle (nice thing about it). You can use 4 concrete blocks or 4 pieces of wood for it to sit on. No chemicals have been in the tank. I bought it for a Salt water batch tank for water changes but never even hooked it up. I will take $250 for the tank and your choice of bulkhead fittings I have.

I will be traveling there from Enterprise that day and would like to attend if no one has any objection. Ive been trying to work towards keeping corals just built a fuge when I ordered my cheato usps lost it for several days and froze. Maybe I can get some ideas from you guys.

I've been wanting to join A club. I live in Tuscaloosa and will be graduating from nursing school in May. Sarris is really nice I have bought a few good frags from there.
I have been searching for a Small frag of a Toadstool leather since I first started my tank. If anyone has one that for not too much I'd like to buy. I would have stuff to trade but I' too scared to frag anything. I do have several small pieces of green star polyps If anyone wants any of them.
oh wow that's getting lengthy. I hope to be able to come if I dont have any tests or anything to worry about that next week.
