Feed Pause

Am I missing something? I cannot find the Feed pause menu anywhere.

Direct from the Profilux programming guide...
"5.4 Feeding pause
Here you can set the Length feeding pause; as long as this, the feeding pause will last which was started
manually with the key Esc or automatically by a timer. To avoid a disturbance of the microbiological climate of your
filter, you should not choose this time longer than absolutely necessary (ca. 5 to 10 minutes).
Furthermore you can set which effect the feeding pause shall have:
Stop filter? "“ with the selection of Yes the switchable socket with the function Filter will be switched off during
the feeding pause
The behavior of the current pumps during the feeding pause can be defined in the settings of the current pumps (see
5.5.6 Pump settings)."


So, where is this setting? When I hit esc to start a feed pause, nothing happens, and my return pump is set to filter. I'm confused.

Also, how do you start maintenance mode from the controller?

Yeah, but nothing happens. FP comes up on the screen, but non of my sockets labeled "filter" shut off.

I am trying to find the actual setting page for feed pause so I can play with the settings.

The manual states you can set feed pause length, and stop filters, but I cannot find it anywhere on the PC program...

FP is linked ot the programming or timing of a device, if you go to timer 1 for an example and look at the bottom left corner you will see the feed pause activation tab.

Same goes for current pumps etc.

OK, I see that, but I'm not really understanding how to program it.

Just set my return pump as timer 2 and check the "if active then feed pause" button?

yep that would work, FP is not programmed via the power bar but instead its linked programming option, in this case timer.

Ahh, I think the feed pause needs to be removed from the programming guide, or drastically re-worded. I have been scratching my head over this for a long time.

the way I have set it up is:

IN PLC set your return pump socket to "filter" (System>socket)
adjust the time of the feed pause(Extra>Pumps)

Thank you again, I have been trying to find this setting for months, but today I decided that I needed to get it figured out.

I also have a "custom programing" set in to delay my skimmer stratup once the FP is done...

In Programing logic in G1:
Input = filter
Time = 120 sec.
function=delay On

set the skimer socket to: Programable Logic 1 (G1)

now the skimmer will start 2 min after the return pump

Very nice, I was wondering how to do that too, but I don't need to delay my skimmer. I just built a new sump that will keep the skimmer's water level the same no matter what happens to the return pump. My octopus skimmer takes for ever to build up a nice foam head, so I avoid turning it off like the plague.
