Feed Zoanthids?

Hey guys, I've just noticed today that our Zoanthids don't appear to be quite as pretty as they were when we first got them. The color seems to be fading a bit. I was just wondering if there is something I should be "feeding" them?

I also read about the Vodka treatment, and people seem to be having some success with color enhancement with the vodka dosing, but I'm thinking it's not really worth it on a 20g?

Anyway...just some advice on what I can do to really bring out the colors of our Zoa's. We are really interested in making a nice little reef tank. I just want to get what we have under control, and pretty before we decide to add anything else.

Here is a quick link in reference to our tank.

Thanks,

Kent sells a zoanthid supplement called Zoe, but I can't attest to it's effectiveness though. From what I can tell it's mostly phytoplankton and amino acids.

The vodka dosing is to help your skimmer pull out lots of nasty gunk from the water.

You can accomplish the same thing by stepping up your water changes.

I would feed them with something very fine like coral frenzy or something similar -- you have to figure that they would not be able to catch very large food in nature, so I would start there.

Also, you may try upping the light and see if that helps -- they may be "higher light" zoas
