Feedback for a newbe

Hi all, I have been experimenting with my new D3000, and I am looking for some constructive(hopefully) criticism.

No tripod yet, and I don't have a macro lens or much of anything to photograph yet.

lol, thanks, they are gone now, just an attempt to make the tank colorful for the 3 months that it was sitting empty(cycling w/ no fish) in my dorm room...
