I'm replacing the manual drudgery of 2 parting since 1997 and have ordered 2 deluxe packages for my tanks. I have a 612 and a 618 on the way. Anybody else using these?

my effluent is clogging. im not sure if im doing something wrong but i wish i could solve the problem. i have a reeffanatic controller set to turn on at 6.70 and off at 6.60. any idea as to the problems?

could be cool if you had the tanks hooked together. Then you coulda just got the 624. I run the 624 and it's awesome. Easiest reactor to use. You can't go wrong with the 612 and 618 though...

What's the mL/min set to and did you fully rinse the media?

Clogging is typically a combo of really slow drip and dirty media. Increasing pH and increasing effluent flow so that your parameters remain the same is one fix.

Running a 612 on my 190g SPS Dominant Tank. Love it...ran several other brands in the past and hands down the easiest to setup and adjust. Not to mention, the quality is second to none.

I have the 618. I also have trouble with the effluent line stopping due to plugging up at the valve. I know it's the valve b/c if I open it for a quick second and then close it back down it works for anothe day or two. Any ideas how to correct this? Would a larger line and valve do it?

John, what is feeding your reactor? Are you noticing any air/bubbles gathering in your media chamber? I had this problem for awhile due to my feed pump being near my drain pipe sucking in microbubbles. They would get sucked in and the recirc pump would then chop them up and eventually my reactor would become airlocked. A filter sock resolved my problems.
