feeding a comet?

I recently acquired a comet / marine betta. So far the only things it will eat are live ghost shrimp and frozen mysis. He spits out any krill nor squid. He seems to eat frozen brine shrimp but completely ignores any flake or other dry foods.

Has anyone had success with other non-live foods that I could try?

You try soaking the krill in garlic or anything? I have an eel that ignored most foods until I started adding that sometimes.

I used to have a betta for years that ate krill and other stuff. his favorite though were these carnivorous sticks made by tetra.

marine bettas generally can be finiky eaters in the beging and even then to get them eating flakes and pellets will take a while i have had my betta for almost 9 years and it took him close to a year to get him on large pellets just give him time

It takes time to get it to eat prepared foods. I got one a short while ago, and at first, it only at live brine. After that I started feeding it frozen, now I feed it prime reef flakes. A little time and patience should do the job. Another tip would be to feed it at night.
