Feeding a Derasa

In another post I've got on the 'reef discussion' page, someone said that DT's is a waste of time for a Derasa over 2 inches. Is this true? I have a 4 inch Derasa under 4x65 pc's in a 55 gallon that has doubled in the 4 months I've had it while dosing DT's. Should I stop or continue with the DT's as far a the clam goes? Is the lighting enough for growth or do I have to feed the Derasa?

at 4" your clam is about the size where if it get enough light it wont need to be feed.however even thou Derasa' are so called "low light clams" I don't think that the lighting that you have will support the clam on it own. so I would say keep feeding it.
