Feeding a duncan coral..

HatTrick

In Memoriam
My tanks been up for four months now and I have some zoanthids that are starting to spread and a colt thats getting bigger. I want to try a duncan.

Ive herd they like frozen mysis shrimp. If I shoot a little out of an eye dropper gently onto its tentacles would it close up and eat the food sort of like an anemone?

Also, How often should I do this?

yes you can direct feed them.. i feed my duncans mysis, mini mysis and even krill (bits of whole shrimp) and they suck it all up like an anemone would.

I feed every other day and they seem to do well :)

I have 4 different types of Duncans, they all respond well to Coral Frenzy. I agree with an earlier post in saying small pieces of shrimp or krill won't hurt either.
