feeding a shy (but hungry) bristletooth tang

My new bristletooth tang ate nori very well in QT and, now, in the tank, he's nibbling at the rocks all the time. I also see him try to eat floating particles, so im sure his appetite is fine. But every time I walk up to the tank to feed the fish, he hides! And nori is not effective because my wrasses rip it to shreds.

any tips? I am going out of town next week so I want to get him eating ASAP.

Could you do another clip for him on the other side of the tank? Or attach some nori to a small pice of pvc pipe so he can nibble on it?

He's probably ok grazing, but I understand your anxiety. My Kole tang was also shy - I finally got him to eat those Sera stick-on tabs. After he ate those, he started taking everything.

good ideas. thanks. I think with multiple nori locations the wrasses are less likely to scare him off. especially if I feed them first.
