feeding acans

I bought a frag of acans at the swap and they look great. The polyps are nice and full, but i have seen no feeding tentical extension. I have looked at night and at feeding time. Is there anything I need to do to get them feeding?

Mine usually extend very late at night (a couple of hours after the lights go out). Maybe you aren't waiting long enough? Try feeding the tank a couple hours after lights out and see if they aren't extending then. If you have other LPS you'll probably make them happy feeding then anyway.

Sometimes it takes a week or two after placing them in a new aquarium for them to start accepting food IME.

I feed mine three times a day so anytime food hits the water they extent in mins. I agree with Cee too... some take longer then other to open. Also without me putting food in the water they tend to extend about 2 or 3 hrs after the lights go out
