Feeding Anenome Frequency

I have never fed my anenomes more than once per week for more than a decade now. Obviously this works.
What I cannot understand is why people feed daily or every two days....this does not make sense to me as this would not happen in the sea, or a least I don't think so.

Anyone give me some feedback in their feeding frequency of nens?

I have feed my anemone every other day. Really depends on if I want him to grow or not. What they do in the wild really does not have a whole lot in coomon with what they do in our tank.

I've been feeding my Rbta every day.. but only until she gets her color back..

Once I put her in the tank.. she hid under my rock work for about 2 months or more.. when she finally came out.. she was pretty well bleached out..

Google search and forum surfing says to feed a bleached nem every day... so that's what I do. A krill a day

I have feed my anemone every other day. Really depends on if I want him to grow or not. What they do in the wild really does not have a whole lot in coomon with what they do in our tank.

For gigantea I almost never directly feed (maybe 5x / yr for last 8 years or so). My clownfish do bring it some food when I feed frozen mysis or rod's food, but my understanding is that they don't need to be fed if receiving proper lighting. (I don't want it to get too big, but could encourage this with more feeding.)

I will say that I've gone periods where I just didn't feed ever and I do think it's better to feed some.

I have noticed over the years the anemone has been significantly larger or smaller based on tank conditions . It seems to have the ability to shrink and/or grow and go back and forth in either direction.

Anemones I want to grow, I feed every 3-4 days. Anemones I don't want to grow, I've left unfed for the last 10 years.

I feed pieces of sliced bay scallops every 2 weeks or so to my RBT .....

I give 1 cm pieces of raw shrimp or other fish that I happen to buy for my own meals. MY BTA doesn't seem too fond of cooked shrimp but ate it once or twice too. I only feed once per month, seems to be working well.

Hi....I have 4 RBT nems and a large blue haddoni...I feed Mysis once a week...sometimes once every two weeks. Mine are all happy and healthy for the last 3 years or so. I think once a week is plenty in my humble opinion. At least that is what works for me....along with good lighting and good water quality....and stable parameters.

Hi! I have 4 large RBT and a large blue haddoni I have had for 3 yes.... I feed Mysis once a week, sometimes every two weeks. Mine are happy and healthy. In my humble opinion once a week is plenty along with good lighting, good water quality, and stable parameters.

When I was nursing mine back to health (she was almost clear she was so bleached and small) she got a small bit of silverside per bay. Maybe 5-8mm square. After she recovered and she moved to a place she wanted she got about the same once a week.

In my 15yrs of having nems, the only times I have lost nems was shortly after feeding Silversides..(lost 2 BTA in 1yr) I will NEVER feed silversides again.
