Feeding anthias

I picked up two Fiji Anthias yesterday and I was wondering what everyone feeds theirs.

TIA,
Dave

I use a variety of foods. I use mysis, brine, daphnia and bloodworms. I know alot of people use cyclopeeze and would also recommend that as well. I just know from my experience that the food needs to be smaller since most anthias species have smaller mouths.

I have Sunburst and Bartlett, use to have Dispar, never heard of fiji. All of mine would eat nearly any frozen meat foods.

Thanks for the replies. My LFS had them labeled as "Fiji" Anthias. One is orangeish and the other is pink, anyone know what they really are?

It turns out that they are Lyretail Anthias, thanks for the help 1package. Did I commit a terrible mistake by putting these into a 75G? On that site it says minimum of 125....

After reading a little more on these fish(something I should have done before buying) It says there should be more than 1-1 ratio of male to female, more like 1 male and 2-3 females. I am pretty much at my stock limit; will these fish do o.k. without having more than one female?

They are going to determine a pecking order for sure, normally the smaller female will take the brunt of the damage. I went with 4 Bartlett to spread it out. I have seen 2 before without troubles (unless perhaps if both males). As long as there is rockwork to hide in. They like the ledges and swifter moving water. Not to familiar personally with Lyretail........however; most are jumpers, so make certain that you keep a top on. I have seen the Dispar and Bartlet jump out. I suspect Lyretail to be the same. I have had to fish mine out of the mega flow twice. Not so familiar with the Lyretail as I said but as a group they seem to do better in a more peaceful environment, aggressive more toward each other, even colder water, lower light.

By the looks of your equipment list, it is like a whirlpool of water movement in that tank - they should be OK with 2, if nothing to chase them. They are carnivores and like the frequent meaty feedings.
