Feeding btas'

I recently obtained a green bubble tip that seems to be doing quite well. Always open and vibrant. I have a homemade food done up that contains chowder mix from the store. Fish don't really touch it so was wondering about feeding it to the nem.

Would giving it a nickel size piece every week or so be ok? It contains, cod, scallop, salmon and shrimp. I did mix in some garlic with it( garlic guard). Thanks again

Thanks. I really don't see the harm either just wanted some reassurance that it would be fine. Will feed it twice a week and see how it goes.

I usually feed mine krill, but every now and then I'll try something else just to see what happens. Some things they'll take, some they won't. My thinking is that if they take it and keep it down it is probably ok. Probably not an ideal diet, but I know mine takes freshwater cichlid pellets if they drift too close.

If anyone is wondering why I'm adding freshwater pellets, I don't have any fish (just coral) and the nassarius snails seem to really enjoy them.

Most chowder mixes I've seen at the store have precooked pieces of crab, or even worse, imitation crab. I typically only use fresh seafood and blend my own mix that way.

Btw, with sufficient lighting you don't need to feed a BTA at all.

I feed my anemone every 3 days if I want it to grow faster or just once per week . They love scallops fresh frozen saltwater fish of any kind but I feed whatever I caught at boyton beach inlet or I just get a small piece of fresh salmon and stick it in the freezer for them.cut off a piece and soak in selcon .... They will spit it out if it's to big for them to digest.
