Feeding clams on the half shell

I wanted to try feeding my fish a clam on the half shell but I was doing some research and some people seem to believe it will make your fish think tridachnas are food too? Is this true and if not are clams nutritious for fish? I don't have a tridachnas currently but may want one I. The future pls advise

Six line wrasse bicolor blenny pair of clowns long nose hawk, I already fed them and the blenny really liked it

I wouldn't think it would cause your fish to eat ornamental clams we keep in the tank. If you had a dwarf or large angel the chances would be much higher
