feeding dendros

Is it ok to feed dendros rhizos and tubastrea more than once a day? I didn't know if they were fed too often the food wouldn't digest fast enough and rot.

Yes its okay to feed them more than once a day....

I may not be able to compare their "usual feeding pattern" in the wild but they eat every time food is available the water column and that availability is ... I would say more than once a day...

Yes you can feed more than once a day like above, however the food can rot if not digested and kill the animal. Also it would depend on what you are feeding, and how much? I feed my tank daily, lite in the morning and heavier at night. The rhizo's will spit the food out if it is not digested, or too much food has been eaten later on in the night, but the Dendros and sun corals will not IME. I hope this helped.

Mine seem to eat whenever I feed them which is twice a day or more. They seem to consume it all.

i usually spot feed mysis and ive never seen the rhizo spit out food so I guess thats doing fine. The dendros sometimes get super puffy and I dont know if its because theyve been overfed. I wouldnt say I feed the dendros heavily but a head may get 2-4 mysis at a time. Im not real careful about getting just 1 to each head. Thanks for all the info guys.
