feeding fish earth worms(bait store)?

i've read that they can carry parasites etc, but my angelfish is going on 7 days that i havent seen it eat. willing to try anything at this point.

no one around here carry black worms, and i'm assuming earthworms can be had at all the bait stores and even walmart.

so is it okay to feed earth worms? will they die real shortly after adding it to saltwater?

Which angelfish? I would not feed earthworms. Blackworms would probably work, or try frozen brine to initiate feeding. Frozen mysis sometimes is tempting. What tank are you keeping this fish in?

5" adult blueface. i have it QT in my 40g breeder. it ate(NLS 3mm, mysis shrimp, and pecked at nori) 4 out of the first 5 days i've had it and havent touched anything since last tuesday(10-15 NLS pellets). believe me, i've tried everything(+frozen brine, krill, rods food, rods fish eggs, clams on a halfshell) except for live food(local stores dont have any). I do have 8 small live silversides in the tank, but my LFS had already told me they are probably too big for it.

no signs of ich. it swims around fine like nothing is wrong. i've started prazipro this past saturday.

on a few days that it ate, it ate 10-15 NLS 3mm pellets in one afternoon feeding.

Prazi may be inhibiting its appetite. I personally build up a fish before prazi treatment. Also check water chemistry in the QT tank. It is unlikely to eat the silversides so I would suggest taking them out since they will use biocapacity.

the prazipro was after 4 days of not eating. if it was eating fine, i surely wouldnt had tried anything that might suppress its appetite until at least a couple of weeks of feeding.

I never recommend flake, but my LFS recommended Formula II flake.. I thought they were nuts, but tried it because it couldn't have been any worse than the other crap I was considering trying. It worked and I use it every time I bring a new fish in now...Someone said it was probably because of the squid in it... so..maybe squid too :-)

When a fish is eating just fine and then suddenly stops eating the same foods it was doing well with previously I doubt very much that it is the food you're offering that is the problem.

I assume you started prazi because of this suspicion. If that isn't working maybe you need to try something else... then again fish medicine is still pretty archaic and it may not be something we can do much about.

I ' ve been feeding my fish earth worms for over 10 years, never had any problems doing so.
My coperband butterfly goes nuts for these, in the wild they are polychaetes eaters so why not try to replicate this in your tank.
