it's the only way i can monitor myself. if i just dumped food in, i would overfeed for sure! and yes, they're ALWAYS hungry!

that time it was thawed brine shrimp. i also use the syringe for thawed mysis. i also feed some rod's and some squid occasionally and that, i just break up into tiny pieces and drop a little in at a time.

days when i'm home, i feed several very small amounts throughout the day. on workdays, they get fed before i leave, when i get home and right before lights out. again, small portions.

the kole tang in my qt tank is getting the hang of it, too.

thanks, tony. had to move some rock work around today when i did a wc. my monti was getting covered up by the anthelia.

this tang hid for just a few hours. it took him a couple of days to come right up to the syringe but since this is how i feed my dt, i wanted to get him accostumed to eating this way.

I kind of do the same thing with a turkey baster. Several fish of mine (watanabei angel and Vrolik's wrasse are the worst) peck at the the baster hard enough to feel it if I don't squirt fast enough for their liking.
