My tank doesn't have a lot of algae growing in it (240g) how often should I feed my urchin's? and how much?

i rubber band a small sheet of algae (about 1/2"x1/2") on a piece of rubble, tie some fishing line on it and drop it in the tank. my urchin will stay on it till it's completely gone. i do this 2 or 3 times/week.

Does the urchin ever get tangled in the fishing line?

nah, he just eats and then crawls away. i never leave the rock/line in the tank overnight but i've never seen him or any fish or other invert have a problem.

for the past 2 days, silly urchin has been packing one of my small feather duster worms around on his back.

i love this guy, while he's a slow mover and kinda boring, he always manages to make me laugh. at one point, he had some polyps on his back...

sometimes, there's a conch/urchin rodeo in my tank...
