nah, he just eats and then crawls away. i never leave the rock/line in the tank overnight but i've never seen him or any fish or other invert have a problem.
for the past 2 days, silly urchin has been packing one of my small feather duster worms around on his back.
i love this guy, while he's a slow mover and kinda boring, he always manages to make me laugh. at one point, he had some polyps on his back...
