Feeding Method... Thoughts?

As of late, in an attempt at better coloration in my ULNS system, I've been trying a method of feeding that I haven't come across before... At least not exactly... And I would like your thoughts...

Twice or three times per week I have been taking a reasonable pinch of NLS Thera A pellets (what I have on hand) and grinding them up mortar and pestle style until the consistency is somewhere between sugar and baking soda.

After grinding, I pick either Vita Chem or Selcon (Again, what I have on hand) and apply a few drops to the powder and keep adding until the powder is slightly more liquid than a paste (Max absorption).

After this step I mix in a few ounces of tank water and then broadcast feed after lights out during the period of greatest polyp extension.

Thoughts?

sounds interesting but do you think the particles are small enough. from what iv'e read for sps the particle size needs to be < 50 microns.

How about mushing up some silversides or clams or something like that ?

or how about stir the sand bed just before lights out ?

I have some sps that have better polyp extension with lights on.

I use pappone which is fresh seafood ground up, don't know if SPS actually eat it but it will help color coral up in ULNS.

Hmm, I'm not real sure exactly how small the particles are... Very small though, more powdery than grainy in texture.

I know fish poo is the best food, but I'm pretty low in the bioload department and was trying to brainstorm a method with supplies on hand for a little extra nutrition in the interim.

I make a mix of the fauna marin seafan, clam, min f, ric zoa food and ground up lps grow color pellets. Then add min D till it is soupy. I use a pipetter to squirt it into my mp40's any time of day or night. Works very well so far :)

im doin something similar usen nls-thera+a/misis frozen shrimp, not sure how much po4 is in t pellets...please keep posted on results...
