feeding my lta?

i feed my blue tip lta 4 times a week and hes really responded by growing quite a bit it seems like. i dont want him to get to much bigger becouse hes starting to encroach on my coral around him. can i cut down on feedings to about 2 a week to slow this down?

As long as your lighting is sufficient, you really can get by with only feeding him once a week if you wanted... My RBTA's are getting fed about once a week now, but I'm about to bump it up to every other day hoping I can get them to split again.
 
i think my lighting is more the good enought with the 8 bulb t5 pumping light in.i like to see the growth but at the size of a dinner plate when fully opend its geting alittle to big.
 
ive read that you cant over feed them becouse if there not hungry they will not take the food to there mouth. they will just discard it.
 
My big ones get about a half of a silverside, while my 2" one gets a little bigger than a pencil eraser piece of silverside. Never any heads...
Sometimes when I'm feeding mysis to my paly's and candy canes, I'll drop a decent amount on the 'nems just for a snack.
 
i have a question that is off subject ive. read that you can feed fine mysis shrimp to zoa. is this true or no i have about 12 heads of ornage unknowns look like penutbutter cups but way more vibrant orange. and i herd feed the zoa increased grouth by 10 fold. if so could i feed mysis, or something else i really would like to get this going with the zoa. oh and a little add in the algea is gone now i have spots the size of pencile erasers of corline algea growing on the back wall. so the slow method is working. but ya what could i feed my zoa. and place were to place also i had them up hight and they really really really colored up nicely and seems like down low they stay the same color since they colored up. on both locations they open fully.

I've got to admit, that at this point I'm a little frustrated, and I consider myself to be a fairly patient person. I JUST told you that it was great that things were going well for you, but you still need to wait another month for everything to get settled in. You feel like since your bout with algea is gone, the problem is over, and we all overshot the adjustment period your tank would need, so crisis averted, full steam ahead. Just STOP. Or don't, and post something in a week about your algea problem again. At this point...whatever.
 
As far as the zoas you already have go, in my personal experience, true zoanthids don't really take to feeding, especially not something that large. My paly's will eat mysis, but not the zoas...

I'm going to leave the rest of that alone. It's getting old
 
actuly that was a question i was asking for my uncle he has no computer. if you dont rember he has the 40 breeder. i have no intions of puting that in my tank. why would i like you said its starting to clear up so why F with it. if it makes you feel any better ive been doing small 5 gallon water changes every 2 days with ro/di water and cuting back on my light cycle. so as you say at this point whatever .. asking in a pm would of been more apopriet to find out what the matter was about not just going off on me agin. so the post i make arnt just for me there for my uncle to who like i said has no cumputer access. if you would like you could come by my house and see i have the same coral same fish and same everything since this algea problem has started i think if i was going to add something i would of been out aqua world picking up some of the nice stuff they have . but no ive been trying to resist and stick to my guns and hold off till the summer. like i said if you dont believe me take a trip to my house pm me for directions. ( dont take this as being smeart a$! im not i just want to prove to all of you that i have been sticking to the game plan of slow. Well sorry if i have somehow angered everyone agin. trust me i havent added a thing and

ps: i dont even have a pay pal or a bank account how would i pay the man.
