Bob Fenner does not like or agree with the use of kalk, but sees no probs with overflow boxes.

Anthony Calfo is big on kalk, but not overflow boxes, nor other crew members who work with customers who have bad experiences.

Whos right and whos wrong. PS Anthony's always saying more flow is better for corals just read what he says about his tanks and green house experiences. (experience will teach us all)

Some say to feed, some dont, you have a choice to eithertry or not feeding, or you can give it a go and if your getting what you deem to be results, keep feeding. If not you can simply stop feeding.

i know Anemone feeds only his tank, and the anemones only catch what floats past them .
i preffer to feed directly its really what works for you. I do think all anemones need to eat. otherwise they would not have developed such an amazing system for feeding themselves.

I saw your pics in the insane pics thread, those anemones look real good. Damn shame to have lost that sebae that you ordered, that would have been an awesome one to have.

I agree with you about feeding the anemone. In a closed system I think we have to help our inhabitants as much as we can.

sjj88, go to the tank of the month forum and have a look at the May 2005 tank. An anemone tank, its obviously detailed in the set up and experiences of keeping rbta's, a good read and the pictures are sweet.

I find the whole debate interesting. I have a 90 reef w/ a pair of occand am seriously thinking of adding a nem. I have read threw your post and would like to know which nem is the most stable, wanders the least etc... any advice would be awesome.

The host anemone that most people find to be the easiest to care for is the Bubble Tip Anemone (BTA) (Entacmea Quadricolor). HTH!

He stayed open the whole time and continues to do so, he also has stayed on the same rock he moved himself to since thur so I assume he's happy. I could see his oral disc both yesterday and today and his tentacles are stretching upward. Is it too soon to feed him??? If not would frozen freshwater mysis shrimp or cyclopeze be good?

mine would/will eat all the raw shrimp from groc store i can give and reach for more :rollface:
