hey. i'm researching nps, especially sun corals and dendros, and i have a feeding question:o. i don't have a local lfs, and shipping is going to kill me on food. would raw shrimp from the grocery store, chopped up super fine, work? how often would i need to feed it? twice a week?
thanks:smurf:

There are no LFS in sunny FL? A few options I would stick with PE mysis If you place an order for any corals online, have them ship a few bulk packs of PE mysis with it. Depending on how many corals you are feeding and how much freezer room you have it should last a while. To help have your mysis supply last longer also pick up Fauna Marin's LPS+ food. You then can alternate between the two.

there are, but they're all at least 30 minutes away and since i don't have a car it makes it a bit harder:sad2:

FishNutty,
I had Fauna Marin LPS food shipped from Cherry Corals for $ 2.00.
And as stated above ,next time you order livestock ,add in some PE Mysid and you would covered pretty well for feeding your corals .

Hey Fishnutty, I agree with above, but I do feed mine sometimes raw table shrimp cut up and all of my suns love it. I also made my own food, using baby claws from the store and phytoplakton, and all of my suns, and dendros love the stuff. A tip for online is order more rather than less, because no point paying for shipping twice. And mix the food up a bit, Mysys, cyclopeeze, photoplakton, etc.
