Feeding Question

I have had 2 false Percula Clownfish and an Anthia Squamipinni in a 29 gallon biocube for almost 2 years. Everyone seems happy and healthy. I do however struggle with green hair algae and I'm trying to rule out the source. I feed them a sprinkle of spectrum pellets every day. They gobble it up, however; it also gets sucked in to the filter. Could I be overfeeding or should I turn off the pump when I feed so less gets sucked in?

I do water changes with RODI water from LFS and have good chemistry levels.

I just added Chemipure Elite and did a 20% water change. Other that regular water changes, do you have any other suggestions?

Are you running the Chemipure in a reactor? I'd run a GFO reactor to help export some of those nutrients, and of course water changes are always best
Manually removing as much of the algae is also a best practice

If food is going uneaten, you are feeding too much. Try feeding smaller amounts more often, making sure all the food is being consumed each feeding.

I turn off my return pump when feed and just the the powerhead blow the food around til it is all gone. Your real phosphate and Nitrate readings are likely higher since the test only shows the amount still in the water column net of what the algae has used.
