well i finally got my dwarf lion to eat frozen food. he only eats off of a 1/18 inch piece of clear tubing. he wont eat off of anyhing else but that, which is kinda funny. Anyway, i have heard that these guys can litterally "gorge" themselves to death. how much should i feed him and how often should i feed him? also, i am heading to the fish store tomorrow and i would like to know what other types of frozen food are healthy for this guy? currently he is only eating krill but i am just happy that he is eating something other than 33 cents per, ghost shrimp. any help would be great.

I believe variety is the spice of life. Keep the majority of his diet marine organisms like krill, shrimp, silversides, or any fresh marine flesh, mysis etc. smaller bit foods like daphnia, brine shrimp, the mysis to a lesser degree may be ignored. I used to feed the one that I had years ago the occasional feeder fish but this should not be the main diet IMO. Feeder goldfish or mollies are often starved to the point of being of little nutritional value by the time you buy them. I had a tub that I would feed the goldfish for a week and watch for unhealthy ones. Mine would eat strips of fish, oysters, mussels or anything else they had fresh at the market.

I think I used to feed almost every day but they can probably be fed less often than that. I just fed them a thumb sized chunk but it depends how big a fish it is. Squid will be fine for it. THe one I had was not picky at all. :D
