Feeding Rainford's Goby

Does anyone have any experience getting their Rainford's goby to eat? If so, please let me know your experience.

Mine is only about 1.5" and it appears to be doing fine with the algae and pods growing in the tank but I don't like having a fish that doesn't eat introduced fare.

Thanks.

I have a hector goby (very similar) that is very fat! I never see him eat any food, but always see him eating hair algae from the live rock. Also only 1.5-2 inches long, but i have had him for a year.

Have you tried live foods? I had a Hectors Goby that would go after live brine when introduced to the tank. He wouldnt touch frozen or pellets.

Ultimately he died from bullying from another Goby unfortunately.

Had one in a nano tank for years. Only thing it would eat was hair algae, and live brine shrimp. Would also sift the sand at the bottom of the tank, but that in itself I don't think is enough to sustain one.

Tried everything else I could think of over the years, with only the above working.

i must be lucky. i've had mine for over a year, i used to have it in a 29g biocube.
mine eats mysis, flake, pellet, rods food but his (and everbodys) favorite is live redworms
it still does pick at algea and used to sift sand (when i had it) one of my favorite fish, mine is getting pretty big, its gotta be close to 3" and its out all the time...
i feed redworms almost exclusively now.probably only feed other food 1 time a week , and it's usually just to supplement redworms.

looked through my coral pics and found 1 of mine swimming in background. its blurry, but dude is FAT. look at that belly! best thing i ever did was start feeding live redworms exclusively(thanks Paul B!). i have not lost 1 fish since then, and all are F.A.T. !
