Feeding Shrooms, Polyps, etc. ?

I have shrooms, buttons, and star polyps on my LR. To keep these well do I need to be feeding them anything other than light?

Question on feeding in general. During feeding of anything - fish, shrimp, etc. should the powerheads & circulation be turned off to avoid the food being pulled out into the filtration system before the livestock have a chance to get it?

Thanks

actinodiscus shrooms and GSP don't really eat at all. other types of mushrooms(rhodactis, ricordia) can eat. button polyps can eat
But neither need to and the occasional fishfood scraps should be fine.

so with that mix of corals, no, no extra feeding necessary.

for water column feeding, generally you want the tank offline from the sump/filters, but leave the in-tank circulation (PH or CL) running to keep the food suspended and blowing past the corals for an hour or two.

for the fish, play it by ear. if it seems like too much food gets away over the overflow, kill the return flow. When I just feed my fish, the food stays in the tank pretty well for me so I don't stop the return flow, only for column feeding.
