feeding sun corals

Hi,
what are you all feeding your Sun Corals? and how?
I have head some take them out of the tank and feed them others that leave them in.
Thanks a bunch! I appreciat your answers to this burning question of mine!

They r a pain to feed /i 've given up on target feeding. But once a wk when i feed my sps cyclopeeze as well as at night all the polyps come out and viola!

I have read the posts and will increase the feedings especially the red that I am nuseing. In fact, think that I will feed right now.

Is taking them out of the tank to feed ok in your opinion?

yeah its ok but try not to do it to much once they start eatting regularly. Remember like anything else the more you mess with it the longer it is going to take to settle, and feel comfortable in your tank. Don't ever lose sight that this is an animal aand must be treated like a pet. If taking it out of the tank must be done than do it but once it starts responding in the tank than just leave it there.

Thanks a bunch. I do remember that they are animals. That is why I want to take good care of them all! I was thinking the same thing about not moving them once they start to respond. I put one on the sand bed lasnight and will move it up off of that in just a few min. I may put a flat pc of lr in and put them all on it so can feed with the "dome".
I was finaly able to get a search done!

I just feed them again, they did not really eat..... they opened up their mouths but not extending the feeding tenitacles. I know that with care they will come around. Sure hope the one that I got last night will come around..... It was given to me to try to save.

O, I made sure that everyone is in a high to med high flow area.

How long have you been reef keeping? By the way your tank is fantastic! Great job.

i have been keeping a reef for quite sometime. My dad had a 150g from the time i was born. I worked at a pet shop my family owned for 5 years. I studied biology and chemistry in college all the while with a tank in my house. I did my senior thesis on my fish tank. I have had tanks since i graduated college 5 years ago. This tank is about a year old because i just moved. Some of the corals i have had much longer than that.
