I picked up some baby black and white ocellaris clowns this past Sunday from a breeder and fellow club member. They are between 1/2"-3/4" long and one is already becoming more dominant which is fun to watch how they are sorting it out. Well I am trying to get them to eat more nutrient rich foods because they will eat flakes(all I have right now is the brine shrimp flakes from Ocean Nutrition) and frozen adult brine shrimp. I had a thread in the Reef Discussion forum but didn't get much help. I was told to try formula 1 and formula 2 for flakes and the New Life Spectrum small pellets. Frozen mysis was also suggested. Well I ordered Formula 1 flakes and Formula 2 small pellets Tuesday from the lfs who was out of marine flakes. Last night for the baby's last feeding I tried frozen mysis and only one likes mysis I guess. The other kept grabbing pieces and spit them out. I used the head and tail pieces that you get from breaking the flat apart and such, using the whole pieces to feed the fish in my 46 gallon holding tank(waiting to sell them to other hobbyists). What should I do to get the other baby to like mysis? Brine shrimp aren't very nutrient packed and I wouldn't assume the flake would be much better. I have a sample of garlic extract from my lfs, but don't know how to use it. Would Selcon be better to use to add vitamins and minerals to the food while soaking?
