Feeding the Tiger Jawfish

I have a pair of Tiger Jawfish in a 20H made just for them, so they are comfortable and have 6" of sand. The problem is that I can only feed them frozen mysis and live brine or they dont seem very interested.

Any suggestions on a good food that I can feed them to get them to get better nutrition. The larger one eats like a pig and still looks skinny the next day. Its been a month, so they seem healthy otherwise...I am just trying to beef them up a bit.

Are there any flake/dry foods that I can use that will get them interested?

Thanks,
Jon

They might have intestinal parasites. They are fairly active little fish but shouldn't be that skinny if you are feeding that often. I'd reccomend selcon being added to the food and maybe a vitamin supplement. Try 3 smaller meals a day if you are feeding one big one currently. As for variety - try mixing a couple pellets of maybe formula one in with the mysis and see if they will eat it. I have kept bluespots, pearly and dusky jawfish - none of them refused food once established , eating flake, pellet, chopped seafood etc.

I have read in several places that Jawfish are opportunistic feeders and do better with several small meals throughout the day. So now I feed a little in the morning, a little when I get off work and a little more before lights out. Might want to try some garlic out also. I don't personally use it but have heard very good things about it.
