Do you feed them?
What do you feed them?
How do you feed them?
What type of growth increase if any can be seen from feeding?

There is a lot of debate on this topic it seems and I am just curious to see who is doing what and how different things are working.

it seems like there's alot of debate and there's no resolution :) one side feeds and swears it helps, the other side doesn't feed and swears it's just as good.
alot of reefers feed cyclopeeze, others feed rotifers i think. and green water helps too.

I do not feed anything to my tank other then brine shrimp every other day to help keep up on food for my mandarin and I only change 10% of my water about every week. My growth is great on all of my zoas except a few that are known slow growers.
I was thinking about setting up a culture for rots but have not been sold on the idea quite yet.

I started out feeding Dt's Phyto and cyclopeeze twice a week, then stopped for a few months to see if it changed anything. I saw a HUGE change, everything grew almost half as slow as when I fed. IMO feeding helps alot, plus it helps with feeding all the other stuff thats in your tank, just make sure you dont overfeed, I think 1 to 2 times a week is plenty.

I give the whole tank phyto and/or zooplanton (cyclops) about twice week. If available, I use "reef stew" from the LFS which is live phyto, rotifers, zooplankton...

I believe the zoas grow faster, certainly there are a lot more pods in my system compared to when I didn't feed.
