Feeding to maximize BTA growth rate

How often can I feed my bta to maximize its growth rate? I worry about the digestion rates and fear of inuring the anemone due to overfeeding.

i have fed mine twice a week for over a year but i just went on vacation for 3 weeks and ny tank sitter misread my instructions i made him and fed him a large chunk of squid AND oyster everyday and the bta seemed to have doubled in size he was the size of a soccerball when i got home.

That's great to know. I assumed that the digestion time was fairly quick given the simplicity of their digestion systems.

You will know when you fed top much. They spit it out the next day. So just feed what they can consume. I fed up to twice a week. Sometimes three times a week to grow my little bta. They also eat the free floating coral/fish food

I've got 9 rainbow bubble tips at the moment, down from a total of 18. Seven of them are all together in a basket where they are easy to remove and frag often. I feed them the same formula 2 flake that I feed my fish. I give the anemones I keep this way a good pinch of flake every day and they grab it right up. I purposely feeding them small amounts like this every day to maximize growth rates for the specific purpose of aquaculturing them. My other two that are in my tank just eat whatever my clowns bring to them and are still growing quite well but not as fast as the others.
