Feeding with the Wavebox

I've found that it's extremely convenient to drop frozen food through the top access door of the Wavebox. The food thaws and as it reaches a smaller size, it is propelled into the water column. The fish rapidly learn that the wavebox is a feeding station, and they all huddle in front of the wavebox waiting for food to jet out. I've been doing this on my tank for nearly a year without consequence to the pump. Does anyone see this as a problem long-term?

No, that would probably be fine with most smaller foods.
