Feeding Zoas?

OK, i just got my first set of Zoas from my LFS. I'm wondering if I should feed them, and if so, what and how do I feed them?

Thanks!

you don't really feed them, they are photosynthetic/ make their own food from the light. they do absorb minerals and things out of the water column, which will be provided by the salt you use. eventually if you get a lot of corals you can start thinking about dosing vitamin/mineral/aa supplement but don't worry about that for now.

the smaller ones are mostly photosyntheic, and do not need feedings as it will cause more polution to the tank than actually helping the zoas.

the larger palys/protopalys/zoanthid gigantus will take food sometimes, but it is not necessary to keep them alive and flourishing.

Is there an optimal water depth and kind of light that will make them flourish more than others being as the food part of the equation is basically looking after itself ?
