feeding

Is it OK for me to feed my octo anything it'll eat? Is there anything that might hurt him? I've ordered some live shrimp and crabs, but until then I've been feeding him some hermits to make him "friendlier". Very aggressive eater, makes me wonder if I've been feeding him enough?

Hey gwrulzmylife,

I would think some types of larger crabs might pose a threat. This might be a good question for Dr. Ron.

feed about every 2 days and use crustaceans that are about the same size as the octopuses mantle, not any bigger... most live foods as long as its crustaceans and molluscs will be ok
