Feedings while I'm gone

Hi
I'm going out with my family for almost 3 weeks. I have a tang and angel. I feed them new life spectrum. I also have automatic feeder. On the food container it is mentioned "sinker" but when the feeder throws the food it takes to much time to sink, and almost more than half is fall down to sump and wasted. When I'm home ' I always soak the pallets and shut the system before feeding and due to this my fishs are not in the habit for running after the food or go to the surface. Please advise is there any food available which sinks quickly or any other suggestions. I'm leaving in four days. Please help.

if you are able to get the pellets to fall into the ring, this will help you out so the pellets don't fall into the overflow.

Thank you very much. You gave me a very idea.
But I don't think I can get it before I leave. But I think I can make something like it.
One question, my overflow is almost in the centre, and I'm thinking to put a ring around the overflow so the food don't go inside. What you think.
