Hello all! So here it is--my first RC thread. It's a biocube 29 gallon. I use a Marineland 150W Stealth heater, 750 GPH Hydor Koralia, Coralife digital thermometer and everything else is stock. I'm working on a RKL in the near future. The shots are taken with my wife's(and mine) new christmas present--Sony Cybershot 350 w/ 14.1 Megapixels. This tank has been up cycling with live rock since about the beginning of October of this year. The corals and fish were recently(3 days ago) moved over from a 10 gallon that has been up since September of this year. I was too broke to fill up this 29 with new stuff, so I thought.. why not jut move all the stuff over. I'm open to your thoughts--so feel free to comment. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Livestock:

This tank was running nothing but a Aquaclear 20, 50W Stealth Heater, Hydor Pico 180 GPH (originally wanted to put seahorses in here), and a Oddysea 24W 50/50 PC Lighting Fixture.

Nice setup on the new tank. Aquascape looks a lot better now that you have some more room to work with. Did you get your clowns at the same time or did you pair them later?

thanks guys! appreciate all the compliments- gotta love this addiction!
cj-nope no modifications yet. all stock-even the bio balls.. though i've been sea sawing weather or not to go without 'em.
diamondjack-the clowns were purchased at the same time-but one recently died and so i picked up a bigger one --much less aggression now.
will post pictures soon!

I've got some cyano peeking-but will take care of that soon enough. been overfeeding the fishies! sorry i missed the DIY LED, had work = / , heard it was tons of fun , i will have to pick some of your brains when i'm ready for new lightning, hehe.
Now for some pix, enjoy!

Thank you. I'm still waitin for the anenome to move out of that cave part. although it seems to like it there. i put it in about 3 - 4 days ago. still haven't really bubbled.

Thanks Ryan-yeah, since my first post, i've upgraded just a bit on flow. i decided to get rid of the koralia 750 since it was blowing up my sand too much-then went with the Aqueon 600 and it was cool...then i got to thinking why not throw in the old hydor pico 180. at least it doesn't blow up my sand anymore. oh and i threw in the free hydor flo deflector it came with! works okay..i am thinking about changing out the stock return pump for a better one since i've added that flo deflector. it makes a quiet but annoying sound i am hoping to get rid of if i do change it out.

So after 3 days I finally took out all of my bio balls ! Added water to chambers 2 & 3 so I don't get that noisy waterfall sound from the back-- now I'm looking for suggestions on what to put back there... Fuge/basket?
I do hate the stock filter cartridges because they often get clogged and need rinsing which in turn adds phosphates and crap into my tank via the faucet. I am thinking of adding a mandarin goby for the 3rd and final attempt - so the fuge would be a nice addition , but how many these things(pods) will actually survive the return pump? Any ideas anyone ?
Ps: tapatalk rox! ( just upgraded from 3G to 3GS ) so much faster.

Eric things are looking good.

I have a 24 nano and tried to go madarin goby and failed. I would suggest adding live pods from the store into the tank if your gonna give it a go. I'm also pretty sure that the clowns and 6 line eat pods. I think without supplemental feeding that goby won't last long. Either way I wish you luck. They are such nice looking fish.

please dont put a mandarin in that small of a tank they need a huge pod population to be able to survive and a 28g even with a fuge will not provide it..

the tank looks sweet though I really like it..

captive bred fish are always best but very pricey.. the captive bred mandarins Ive seen for sale were $100.. OUCH..
