A couple weeks ago i started up my new 75 gallon. Previously I had a 30 gallon, but that just wasn't cutting it. So here's a couple pics for all of you to look at! Tell me what you think and i'd appreciate comments on rockwork if possible! And i apologize that these are all cell phone pics.

What model stand did you go with? It kind of looks like the Monterey series stands. I will be setting up a edge rimless 75 in another week.

You are correct, it is a Monterey stand.

I really like the stand, and the fact that the canopy opens up. I highly suggest it for your rimless 75. That would be sweet. I would have gone without a canopy, buy with pets that wasn't an option. Just make sure your tank fits the dimensions before you buy it, the marineland stands do differ a lot from other brands, so just double check.

Oh, thanks actrotrdco! Actually I've been cycling for about three and a half weeks now. I just added a blue chromis today!

Here's a list of my equiptment if anyone wants to know:

Equiptment:
- Octopus 1000 xp SSS
- Octopus sump, 36" by 14" by 16"
- Finnex heater
- Octopus 3000 return pump

Future Equiptment (the good stuff):
- Either ATI sunpower or maxpect led or AI led
- two vortech mp40's
- some form of controller

Hopefully that list will be completed soon!

And of course I hope that some sticks can be added within the next month or two if things go well!

Looking good ! I have the same skimmer for my 70G Cube I will be setting up. What's the water level in your skimmer chamber ? I have read that they need a low water level ( 5-1/2" to 6" )

Looking good ! I have the same skimmer for my 70G Cube I will be setting up. What's the water level in your skimmer chamber ? I have read that they need a low water level ( 5-1/2" to 6" )

Thanks AugustWest! My skimmer is in five and a half inche of water when I put it on my little skimmer stand. I love the skimmer, you won't be dissapointed! Good luck on your 70G cube! If you start a build thread, I'd love a link if you wouldn't mind.

Nice! I just set up a 75 upgraded from a 40. I love it. I would move the Rick on the right side away from the glass a bit for cleaning and grow out.

Thank you! I considered what you said and I did try to, but it didn't work out super well. I lost the general shape I had and I have to do the right side again. but I'll make it work somehow.
