I came home and the lights were off so maybe she was sleeping? although they NEVER sleep, they typically swim next to each other through out the night. As of right now shes swimming as you see in pictures.
I just got a pair of snowflakes that are still in QT, so I have very limited experience. But, the female in my pair does something similar, but doesn't lay down all the way. She'll lay at a 45 degree angle in the corner of the tank when the lights go out and when she is scared.
It took them a few days to get used to me walking up to the tank. When they weren't familiar with me, she would immediately swim to the back of the tank and cower in the corner. Now she realizes that I'm the provider of fish food and excitedly swims up to the tank and almost seems to beg.
