Is that a no?? :D :D :D :D :D

Well then, the demand seems high enough. :D

I guess I have no choice but to take some.
As soon as I get home Ill tidy up the back room a bit and take a few pics.

Are we good now?

TOTM nomination on the way!!! That is beautiful! Great aquascaping and coral placement. Looks very natural. I would have guessed you had 400 watters over that, its so bright, but I see you're running 250s.

Thank you!
Your tank would definitely be ahead of mine in the TOTM nominations my friend.
As for the lighting I only have two 250W over my tank, a mere 2.22 WPG:D .

Super clear water is the key here, and the a pair of Lumenarc III's doesn't hurt either.

I'd kill for water that clear. Are you running ozone to help get it that clear? Any tips. As you've seen, I've got alot of particulate floating around in mine thanks to the high fish load, somewhat barebottom, and serious flow.
I'm running a UV now hoping that would help some. I run a HOT magnum with carbon filter for two weeks on/two weeks off. I've run micron filters without much difference too. I've heard Vodka will also help clear up the water, but I'm not ready to jump on that wagon yet.

I do not run Ozone or UV, I find that they kill off too many of the benificial bacteria that our systems need. I did notice in your video that your water was quite turbid and had particles floating around the water column.

If it is of any help I will describe what I do:

I run a bag of Black Diamond Activated Carbon passively in my sump, kneaded daily and replaced every month.

I run filter socks on my return 24/7. These are replaced daily and washed all together in the washer once a week.

I run a Deltec AP851 Skimmer that is set to "wet Skim". I belive the skimmer has the largest role in the overall health and clarity of my tank. Starphire glass doesn't hurt either. ;)

Water changes are preformed weekly, 40gl of Reef Crystals.

Here are a couple old Back room shots to keep you guys busy until I get the new ones-

Great Tank!!

I was wondering if you would go into this a little more? How did you determine that bacteria was being killed off?

I use Ozone and dose Bacs. Randy's recent articles on Ozone said that Ozone at the levels we use would have little effect.

I know that Prodibio discourages Ozone as does Zeo. PolypLabs encourages Ozone use.

Zeo says to kneed carbon daily. Do you use other Zeo elements?

I'm tweaking my tank and any info you would share is welcome!

Thanks. :)

As for the Ozone vs. Bacteria I am going by the word of mouth of many great reffers I have spoken to.

I do not run ZEO in my tank, I feel my tank is good enough without it. Maybe one day I may give it a shot, only out of curiosity.
